Deliver / Migration

Migration that keeps the metadata and proves the result.

We run migrations on integr8, our flagship integration and migration product, connecting source and destination systems API to API so records arrive complete and every move is accounted for.

The challenge

Move it completely. Show your working.

A migration is only as good as the evidence that it worked. Running it on integr8 means the source, the mapping and every move are recorded, so completeness is something you can demonstrate.

Traditional migrations are built by hand for a single use and then thrown away. Every project starts from scratch, and the cost and risk show up late.

Metadata is the first casualty. Fields are flattened, dropped or mis-mapped, and the gap is only found at audit.

When the project ends, so does the evidence. Nobody can show exactly what moved, when, from where and to where.

When this service makes sense.

A legacy system is being retired.

A restructure or acquisition needs systems consolidated into one.

Records need to move with their metadata and a defensible audit trail.

Scope of work

The detail behind the delivery.

Records and data moved between systems with their metadata intact and an audit trail, run on integr8. The scope reflects your priorities, the operating environment and what needs to be achieved.

Keep the metadata

Map every required field between source and destination so each record arrives as a complete record.

Watch it run

Follow progress by batch while the migration runs, with exceptions surfaced and handled as they occur.

Prove the result

Reconcile source and destination and keep an item-level audit trail of what moved, when, from where and to where.

What we cover

Migration
  • Connecting source and destination systems API to API
  • Data profiling and quality checks before the move
  • Metadata field mapping and transformation
  • One-off, staged or continuous migration
  • Live progress by batch
  • Exception handling and reruns
  • Reconciliation of source and destination
  • An item-level audit trail
  • Consolidating several systems or instances into one
  • Splitting information by control or classification
  • Handover so your team can run it

Our flagship product

Migration run on integr8.

Our migration teams use integr8, YOKU's flagship integration and migration product, to move records between systems with their metadata mapped and an audit trail behind every move. You get the discipline of a proven product and the judgement of a team that has run these programs before.

  • Source to destination, with every required metadata field mapped
  • Run once, in staged phases or continuously
  • An audit trail you can prove, not just believe

Our approach

Structured work.
Purpose at every stage.

The method follows the work, not a generic playbook. Each stage connects to the decisions, capability or delivery your organisation needs.

Our approach / stage 1

Connect the source and destination systems

Connect the source and destination applications API to API and confirm access.

Your operating environment

Different pressures.
The same need for clarity.

Governance, obligations and delivery constraints differ. The engagement is shaped around the organisation you run, not an assumed environment.

Public sector

Agencies retiring legacy systems, absorbing a machinery-of-government change or consolidating records while keeping them complete and defensible.

Commercial organisations

Enterprises consolidating systems after an acquisition, or moving off legacy platforms without losing metadata or history.

Intended outcomes

What this work is designed to change.

Records that arrive complete, with their metadata.

Progress you can watch while the migration runs.

An audit trail that proves what moved.

Specialist expertise. Practical application.

A migration is only finished when it can be proven.

Start with the right conversation

Define the need.
Shape the engagement.

We begin with what needs to change and the decisions or work your team needs to support. These are useful starting points for a conversation about migration.

Source and destination systems and their access

Records, metadata and any known quality issues

Operational windows and who signs off the result

The scope, people involved and expected outputs are agreed around your organisation’s needs.

Questions

What you need to know.

Does it move records both ways?

No. A migration moves records from a source system to a destination system. Moving information in both directions continuously is integration.

Do we keep running integr8 afterwards?

That depends on the engagement. In some projects we run the migration and hand over a final report. In others we configure integr8 and train your team to run it themselves. We agree this up front.

Let's move the work forward

Make the next decision with confidence.

Tell us what needs to change, what is at stake and where you need support. We will discuss the advice, delivery or specialist capability the work calls for.
